Sorting Quest served as a platform to showcase my capabilities for full cycle development of F2P Mobile games. I developed every element of the project from UI design and Implementation, gameplay systems, remote services, game polish and game feel.
For Sorting Quest I dived into Unity Level Play for Ad Mediation services, Unity Remote for delivering game content as well as integrating Unity IAP and Google play to handle in game currency and purchases.
I also wanted to focus on creating a polished user experience that drives players keep playing. To this extent I developed an Exp and Battle pass system to drive engagement and player rewards. I built an algorithm to generate infinite levels providing players with a never ending supply of levels to complete.
All the gameplay is driven through Unity's GUI. Its been designed to rescale itself based on the devices size so the main elements are alway the optimal size. It uses Prime Tween to move elements around which allow for very quick and responsive gameplay.
I put a lot of focus into game feel on this project. Given the throw away nature of hyper casual games, I put a lot of attention into selling each interaction and victory. The aim is to showcase my knowledge on game design and showcase how to make an addictive and stimulating experience.
